19.00 - 10th April 2008
We are currently experiencing problems with our automated systems to Nominet, this is resulting in new .uk domain registrations and nameserver changes failing via our automated systems.
Please note we are still processing these requests, but it may take slightly longer than it normally does due to us having to manually submit the requests.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, we hope to have this resolved as soon as possible.

At approximately 16:16 BST on 8th April 2008 our Linux Network was subjected to a sizable DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack which flooded our network leaving little capacity available for legitimate in/outbound packets to utilise. This resulted in the limited service to our web server - although all servers remained online and fully operational.
The effects of this attack should only have been felt for a few minutes, as we implemented filtering at our peers to return service back to normal - our network was showing normal levels of activity by 16:27 BST at which time everything appeared to be back to normal.
Unfortunately due to the nature of these attacks they are difficult to prevent altogether, but rest assured that we continue to monitor our network with extreme vigilance to mitigate against the impact of such incidents.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience today’s small outage may have caused.

Over the last few weeks we have been receiving a high volume of support tickets regarding the spam filtering on our Windows mail server.
Previously we did not have our filtering to delete spam and it was simply told to mark spam in the subject of each email, based on the prefix in the subject of emails customers could set what they wanted to do with spam messages i.e. delete or move to a junk folder.
Due to the high volume of tickets regarding spam filtering and how the filtering was not being effective we have made changes globally to the mail server spam filtering.
These are as follows:
- Low Probability of being Spam: Deliver Email to inbox
- Medium Probability of being Spam: Move to Junk folder
- High Probability of being Spam: Delete Message
Changes to the spam filtering settings have also been made, with over 150 tests carried out to determine if an email does contain spam.
It will take 24/48 hours before you notice an improvement in these changes.
If you do not wish to use our default settings you can override these via logging into webmail (webmail.csnewmedia.co.uk), proceed to “My Spam Filtering” > “Override spam settings for this account” > “Save”.
We are very optimistic customers will notice a big improvement with the new spam filtering setup, as always we would love to hear your feedback either via windows-support@csnewmedia.co.uk or via our community forums www.csnmforums.com
