Emergency Maintenance Notification - MS-SQL 2005

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Date: 20.03.08
Maintenance Window: 12.00am - 6.00am

We have identified a serious hardware issue on our current MS-SQL 2005 Server which we believe is the cause of recent problems with the service. In order to keep the MS-SQL service stable we will be performing emergency maintenance to migrate MS-SQL to temporary new hardware. New higher specification hardware is currently on order and will be provisioned within the next 2 weeks.

All databases will be transferred over to this new hardware between 12.00am - 6.00am on Thursday 20th March 2008. During this time the MS-SQL service will be unavailable at certin periods.

Important - please ensure you are using our new connection information “sql2005.ourwindowsnetwork.com” in connection strings/scripts. Failure to update scripts with this new connection information will result in them being unavailable after the maintenance has completed.

Please accept our apologies for the short notice of this maintenance work, if you have any questions please submit a ticket to our Windows Hosting Support Department.
